Dear Parents,

I hope you and your family had an enjoyable and restful summer!  Mine was filled with some exciting travels, good books, and quality time with family and friends. 

I am honored to be your child’s 5^th grade teacher, and I wanted to take this opportunity to begin what I hope will be a year-long conversation about your child’s education.

This year will be an exciting, growth-filled, wonderfully challenging year for your child, and I am looking forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.  My top priority is to create a safe, nurturing, learning community in which children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.   To that end, I would so appreciate you taking just a few minutes to answer the questions attached to the bottom of this web page (Questions for Parents).  Your responses to these questions will provide me with a very valuable introduction to your child.

Please send the answers in with your child by Thursday, September 10^th.
