New!

In Oct. 2009 the 8th graders took a trip to the newly renovated Museum of Chinese in America. They learned about the history of Chinese immigration in America, took a walking tour of Chinatown, and had lunch at the Grand Harmony Restaurant. See photos under "My Slide Shows".

In Nov. 2009 the 6th grade Chinese/art class did a unit on Chinese calligraphy using brushes and ink. Calligraphy is an art form which expresses both the meaning and the beauty of the character. It requires much practice and concentration. See photos under My Slide Shows.

In Dec. 2009 the 8th graders did a "Secret Snowflake" exchange. Students made snowflakes, wrote messages on them in Chinese, and gave them to other classmates. See photos under "My Slide Shows".

In 2007 the sixth grade language classes and art classes embarked on a new collaboration. Here are some beautiful paintings on silk created by our Chinese language students during art class. To see more photos go to My Slide Shows
