In this class we will be studying Mandarin, the official dialect of China. We will be learning about not only the language but also the culture and traditions of the Chinese people as well. 

We will be focusing on the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with an emphasis on speaking. Daily activities will include conversations, skits, interviews with classmates, games and hands-on activities. We will be learning the pinyin system in conjunction with simplified characters. We will also be studying Chinese word processing skills.
