Summer Reading Assignment for Fifth Grade Students Going Into Sixth Grade As part of the curriculum, the Herricks Middle School English Department requires summer reading for all students. These books may be acquired from the local libraries, the local bookstores, or they may be purchased via the Internet. A limited number of books will also be available at the school for students to borrow if necessary. Please select one title from the summer reading list document below. There is an assignment that must be completed before the first day of school. Please view both documents below for the directions for this summer reading assignment.
